HOUSING
To start the process our clients are asked to fill out a questionnaire about their needs regarding housing. From there research is carried out for properties in their criteria and then the Agents/Landlords are contacted to arrange viewings on an appropriate date suitable for the client.
On the home-search date client(s) are collected and escorted to each property on their viewing schedule. Guidance and advice is given on all properties and locations.
Once the client has chosen a property we would start the negotiations with the Agent or Landlord by submitting a verbal offer. Included within the verbal offer we would ask for any requests/desires made by the client.
LOCAL SERVICES
Agents/Landlords would usually transfer all utilities and Council Tax into the clients name, however if they don’t we can assist with that. Once the client has had an offer accepted and proof of new address this will then allow the client to know the catchment area for registering with a doctor. We can organise you to visit with your local GP along with your passport and a letter confirming your work status and get you registered. This can take 3-5 working days (in the meantime should you need to see a doctor, you will be seen). We can also help with dentist registration, however this can be any practice you wish (no catchment areas required).
FINANCIAL SERVICES
Moving to a brand-new place with different banking regulations and a new currency can be a daunting experience. However, we make the process easy for our clients by aiding them in setting up a British bank account. We use our banking contacts to put them in touch with professionals who can best answer their questions.
VEHICLE SEARCH
This is an additional service we offer which involves finding a rental car for our clients’ visits to Aberdeen prior to their move as well as assistance in finding the perfect car to suit their lifestyle, after their move.
EDUCATION
Finding the right nursery or school is paramount to making a new city feel like home. We set up appointments to visit top local schools and accompany our clients, offering our support and advice throughout their decision-making process.
LOCAL TOURS
We offer our clients a personalized orientation upon their arrival in Aberdeen. This allows them to familiarize themselves with their new environment before they begin their property search. The itinerary can include visits to schools and nurseries, local healthcare facilities and supermarkets as well as information about the area’s transport links and local amenities. We can also use this time to view sample properties with our clients.
WRAPPING UP
When our clients are ready to leave Aberdeen, we are here to assist them in every way. We give them all the relevant information they may need about closing down utilities and vacating their property. We also attend their check-out. This is a comparison of the property and its furnishings before, and after the tenancy, which highlights any wear and tear or depreciation. We meet the inventor and go through the property, striving to ensure our clients retain as much of their original deposit as possible.
